About JMF
The Jackson Memorial Foundation helps the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center provide excellent medical care to the South Florida community, while advancing medical knowledge through vital research programs. The Foundation leads fundraising activities and resources on behalf of Miami-Dade County’s Public Health Trust, which operates Jackson Memorial Hospital as the hub of the internationally renowned medical center.

Although the Trust receives funding from a variety of public sources, it is responsible for delivering public health to all of Miami-Dade County's 2.3 million residents, regardless of their ability to pay. At the same time, Jackson Memorial Hospital is one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers, providing the most advanced medical care to rich and poor alike, serving as a teaching hospital for the medical and healthcare professions, and conducting vital scientific research. No other hospital is like it.

Because the hospital’s financial needs far outweigh the funds available, the Foundation supports vital projects and programs that truly make a difference in patient’s lives, and makes these programs happen.
