Rally for Kids with Cancer 2009
The Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup is ignited by the desire to help Jackson Memorial Foundation, International Kids Fund and Holtz Children’s Hospital and provides hope that one day the end to cancer can be celebrated. The exciting event was experienced on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at pit stops throughout Miami, including Jackson Memorial Hospital, where Romero Britto and children in treatment drew portraits of the drivers. Special mention to the teams from Jackson: the Bayou Babes, Cancer Warriors, Cuban Key Rats, Angels at the Wheel and Saludarte. Established as an annual event, the Rally features teams of donors and celebrities with Eva Longoria Parker the Honorary Chair and this year’s Event Chair, Loren Ridinger, Senior Vice President of Market America. The Eden Roc Renaissance, Miami Beach, served as headquarters and the final pit stop. This wonderful event was put together with Solutions with Impact. The 2010 Rally date will be announced in coming weeks in order to help continue the fight against pediatric cancer.
