Janett Serrano
Grants Support Specialist

Janett has worked for several not-for-profits in the community and brings that development experience to her work at Jackson Memorial Foundation.  She is currently pursuing a dual degree in English and Women’s Studies.  Her hobbies include writing and thrifting.

 

Corina Casalins
Patient Relations Manager

Corina is the very pulse -the heart and soul- behind the IKF’s Wonderfund™ operation. After a decade at the UM Medical Center, she spent one vacation week working in the IKF Wonderfund™ office and fell in love with the program. Corina acts as a liaison, advocate, counselor and friend. Corina enjoys cooking and is an avid orchid enthusiast.

    

Sonja Christmas
Grants Coordinator

Sonja joined the Jackson Memorial Foundation after previously working in the Department of Pediatrics at the Miller School of Medicine/UM. Her experience working for a grant funded program helps her monitor the budgets and contractual needs of several grants at the hospital. She has a B.A. in Economics and a background in accounting and office administration.

Cynthia De Hoyos
Accounts Receivable Manager

Cindy has 12 years experience in receivables and hospitality. She handles a broad scope of internal daily processes including billing, deposits, and receivable inquiries. Cindy manages the accounting and reconciliations related to receivables tracked in the database system. She has a Business Degree and an Auditor Certification. She enjoys singing, volunteering, and reading.

    

Niurka Del Valle
Administrative Assistant to Director of IKF’s Wonderfund

Niurka’s background in both administrative and customer service helps her in her pursuit to keep the busy IKF’s Wonderfund™ office running smoothly. As the Administrative Assistant to the Director, Niurka is involved in all aspects of the program. She has an AA in business administration with expertise in billing and coding. Niurka loves to read, travel and spend time with her family.

Caridad Diaz
Golden Angel Society Administrator and Executive Assistant to the VP of Development

Cary attends Florida International University working towards a B.S. in elementary education and a minor in mass communications. She is a nationally certified events planner. Cary assists the Vice President of Development with all fundraising efforts and maintains the organization of the Golden Angel Society. Hobbies include traveling to Walt Disney World, boating and spending time with her family.

    

Philip Dickey
Grant Developer

As a Grant Developer for the Foundation, Phil is responsible for writing proposals requesting funding from Federal, State, and local governments, as well as private foundations.  He has a B.S. degree in Social Work and has been writing grants 10+ years.  Phil also enjoys traveling, cooking, and relaxing with family and friends.

Claudia Flores
Accounts Payable Supervisor

Claudia oversees all Accounts Payable transactions.  She joined Jackson Memorial Foundation in 2001.  She has a background in accounting and has successfully managed all special funding and numerous Foundation and University of Miami programs.

    

Marisol Garcia
Senior Special Events Manager

Marisol has worked in the non-profit sector for 11 years. She has been with Jackson Memorial Foundation for five years of which three she has been in charge of handling logistics and planning numerous of the Foundation’s events. On her off time she enjoys spending time with her son and family.

Eddie Vera
Database Supervisor
IKF Wonderfund

Eddie joined IKF Wonderfund right after its formation. His studies in Ecuador are equivalent in United States to a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He manages the donor database and produces all financial reports. Among his hobbies is graphic design, allowing him to collaborate with the production of printing and Web site materials.

    

 

 


 

Teresa Gonzalez, Esq.
Grant Coordinator

Teresa has a background in business and law, which helps her manage several grants that benefit Jackson Memorial Hospital and children and families throughout Miami-Dade County.  She has a B.S. in business administration from Western Carolina University and a J.D. from the University of Miami.  On her free time, Teresa enjoys travelling, reading, and watching independent films.

Dayma Lopez
Grants Coordinator

Dayma joined the Grants Department at Jackson Memorial Foundation in August. She worked at Jackson Health Systems for more than four years in grant funded programs. Her experience ranges from administrative duties to performing outreach work throughout Miami-Dade County. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

    

 

Ilka Lopez
Full Charge Bookkeeper

Ilka is responsible for processing payroll and monthly reconciliations.  Ilka graduated in Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Panama.  She is very active in community services. Art & crafts and biking are among her favorite hobbies.

Priscila Marcos
Human Resources Manager

Priscila Marcos is the Human Resources Manager for the Foundation and Foundation Health Services. Priscila has been an employee of the Foundation since 2007, when she began as the Human Resources Coordinator. In her current role she is responsible for payroll, benefits and other personnel-related matters.

    

Celia Martinez
Financial Clerk

Celia is known for her high energy and multi-tasking abilities. Being family oriented, she has an influential background on education and community outreach. Working in Finance, she’s responsible for invoice processing, maintaining the Accounts Payable filing system and has developed her own dynamic strategies to ensure accurate financial and clerical operations.

Eilleen Morales
Executive Assistant to President and & CEO

Eilleen Morales provides support to Jackson Memorial Foundation’s CEO and President and coordination for the Board of Directors and foundation committees.  Eilleen is a Miami native and in addition to being a proud graduate of Barry University is an equally proud graduate of Miami Coral Park Senior high school.  When not booking meetings or writing minutes, Eilleen can be found spending time with her family, close friends, a great book or at the movies.

    

Mirelida Morales
Purchasing/IT/Finance Assistant

Mirelida, is responsible for the purchasing of all production materials and equipment, maintenance, repair, and operating supplies, facilities supplies and equipment, as well as inventory control of in house materials. In addition, she maintains and manages the database and assists with financial information.
